XML and RSS Feeds

XML allow users to give structure to a document by defining field names. For a person receiving the document they can easily extract the data they need from the file knowing what each field will contain each time. A prime example is an RSS feed. An RSS feed is simply an established XML file which contains certain fields in this case Title, Description and Link. You can see one in use below.
